Helen Myers August 2, 1920 - August 18, 2008 Helen Myers, 88, a resident of Greenfield, formerly of Montrose, PA, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at Regency Place Nursing Home, Greenfield, IN. She was born August 2, 1920 in Sayre, Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Margaret (Van Horn) Shaffer. Helen worked in manufacturing at Rosen Brothers in Binghamton, NY and also was a bus driver for the Montrose school system. While living in Pennsylvania she was a member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church. She was also a member of T.O.P.S., loved to garden, needle work and embroider. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" (Don) Janes of Greenfield; daughter in- law, Donna Walters of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Janes of Markleville; Randy Janes of Greenfield; Julie Janes of Colorado; Mary Walters, Todd Walters, and Eric Walters all of Charlotte, NC; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Walters; second husband, Walt Myers; son, James Walters; brothers, Richard, David and George Shaffer. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Birchardville Cemetery in Birchardville, Pennsylvania.
