Hershel Allgood

Hershel M. Allgood, age 89 of Fortville passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Greenfield Healthcare. He was born April 26, 1929 in White County, Arkansas to the late Elbert and Lottie (Odom) Allgood. He married Jackie (Harvey) Allgood on January 28, 1947. Hershel was a retired union carpenter and a member of the Church of God. He loved his church and often played his guitar during services. He loved southern gospel music and Jackie always said that, "southern gospel was his first true love." He is survived by his wife Jackie of Fortville; sons, Fred (Debra) Allgood, Mike (Rose) Allgood; daughter, Linda Collins, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; Elbert and Lottie Allgood. Friends may call 10 am until noon on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140.
