Irene M. Meek

Irene M. Meek, age 101 of Greenfield passed away Thursday, July 30th at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born July 12, 1914 in Indianapolis to the late William and Pauline (Bliss) Matheson. Prior to her retirement, Irene worked as a Dietary Aide at Hancock Regional Hospital from 1964 until 1982. She was a member of the First Church of God, was a former member of the Greenfield Senior Citizens and a homemaker that enjoyed playing BINGO. She is survived by her sons, Paul Meek of Lewisville, Richard Meek of Greenfield, Marvin Meek of Greenfield, daughters, Doris Coplin of Pendleton, Mary Kay (Jim) Farmer of Greenfield, Roberta Price of Greenfield, special nephew, Morris (Mary) Meek Jr. of Tenn., several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Meek in 1992, sons, Kenny Meek and Jerry Meek. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Philadelphia Cemetery, Philadelphia, Ind. Memorial contributions may be sent to the First Church of God, 700 N.
