Jack R. Miller, age 85 of Greenfield passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at his home. He was born April 22, 1930 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late David and Wilma (McDaniel) Miller.
Jack was a graduate of Washington High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Jack was a very active member of the Greenfield American Legion, Post #119 where he previously served as Commander, was a proud member of the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard and loved flag education. He also enjoyed a 34 year career with Eli Lilly & Company, Greenfield.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sue (Bacon) Miller of Greenfield, daughter; Kathy (Mark) Jones of Fishers, sons; Brent Miller of Plainfield, Gregg Miller of Greenfield, sisters; Joyce Wildman of TX, Sandra Wonder of OH, Sherry Hoss of IN, Janet Fritschle of FL, 5 grandchildren Nathan (Miranda) Norris, Alyssa (Corey) James, Kory Miller, Sarah Miller, Hannah Miller and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cyndi Norris and sister, Phyllis Reuss.
Friends may call 4- 7 pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, September 2nd at the funeral home. Burial with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
