Jack L. Randolph July 6, 1930 - September 4, 2011 Jack " The Barber" Randolph age 81 years, one of the last old country barbers, took Jesus into his heart and peacefully went to be with his Savior on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Kindred Healthcare, Greenfield. He was born July 6, 1930 in Hilham, Tenn. to the late James H. and Versie (Bilyeu) Randolph. He attended Stringtown Nazarene Church and was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing poker. He was a member of the Greenfield Lions Club and American Legion Post 119 of Greenfield. For 40 years his barber shop in Greenfield, served as a gathering point for men needing tonsorial services and seeking to discuss the issues of the day from myriad points of view. After his retirement, he took his clippers and scissors as a volunteer to shut-ins at home, hospitals and nursing homes to minister to their appearances. The spirited discussions were then moved to the Riley House for coffee. He was a resident of the Lutheran Services Center in Greenfield. He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Lewman of Greenfield, sons, Robert Randolph of Fayetteville, Tenn., Donald Randolph of San Diego, Calif., sister, Dereva (John) Stickford of Greenfield, granddaughters, Amber Wiley and Carli Lewman. His sisters, Anne Merle, Jenna Lee and brother Douglas preceded him in death. Memorial service will be 12:oo p.m. Thursday September 8, 2011 at Brandywine Community Church with Gary Wright officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
