Jackson Wyatt "Jack" Smith, age 20 of Knightstown passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born January 1, 2000 to Thomas and Tina (Lightle) Smith.
Jack was a 2018 graduate of Eastern Hancock High School where he was active and lettered in tennis and wrestling. Jack was a kind and caring young man and never knew a stranger. He was always first to volunteer and would help anyone with any project. He loved working on the Lightle family farm, hunting, and fishing. Jack was living his best life. He loved his job at Production Construction 1, Inc., was a certified welder and was never afraid of a little hard work. Above all else, he was best friend and role model to his younger brother Drake.
Jack is survived by his parents, Tommy and Tina Smith; brother, Drake; grandparents, L. Eldon "Butch" and Susie Lightle; Thomas Smith II, and Greg Hamm; aunts and uncles, Alison Hamm, Jay Hamm, Jasmine Gonzalvo, David & Jessica Antognoli, Tammi & Kevin Roland and T.J. Lightle; girlfriend of 3 years and love of his life, Jaelynne Epperson; several cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Rexanna Hamm; aunt Tarri Lightle-Miller and cousin, Jason Eldon Miller.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 SR Indiana 109, Wilkinson, Indiana 46186. Funeral Service with Pastor Ryan McCarty officiating will be 10 am, Friday at the church with burial immediately following at Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.
