Jacque Elsbury

Jacque L. Elsbury, age 87 of Greenfield passed away February 15, 2019 at Springhurst Health Campus. He was born March 11, 1931 in Greenfield to the late Raymond and Fern (Lacy) Elsbury. Jacque served in the U.S. Army and returned to Greenfield. He married his first wife Nancy (Catt) on May 19, 1951. Prior to his retirement in 1996 Jacque enjoyed a 40-year career with Beagle Furniture. He enjoyed IU Basketball, Colts Football, the Indy 500 and horseracing. They became snowbirds and spent time in Vero Beach, Florida. He is survived by his wife Peggy whom he married on December 16, 2000; his children, Jim (Ray) Elsbury, Lynn (David) Caudill, Sally (Greg) Adams, Amy (Steven) Johnson; step son, Stephen (Linda) Wendelboe; grandchildren, Stacy (Eric) Zimmerman, Brittany Garza, Kari (Chuck) Haberman, Holli Johnson, Justin (Lacey) Johnson and 9 great grandchildren. Jacque is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nancy Elsbury. Friends may call 4-7 pm, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral Service 10 am, Thursday February 21 at the funeral home with Pastor David Scifres officiating. Burial immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
