James E. Baker October 18, 1930 - May 21, 2011 James E. Baker, 80, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Regency Place of Greenfield. He was born October, 18, 1930 in Milan, Indiana to the late Burt and Edna (McLafferty) Baker. A resident of Greenfield since 1946, he played professional baseball in 1949 at Gainesville, Texas. Through the years he was a participant and coach of baseball in numerous leagues and was manager of Post #119 American Legion Baseball for over ten years. James is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Jeff (Alexandra) Baker; grandchildren, Neal (Sarah) Baker, Kelly (Daniel) Justice, Joe Baker and a great grandson, Jordan Justice. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Daniel Baker. There will be no services at this time and arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock County Boys and Girls Club, 715 East Lincoln Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Comments Dear Sue, " I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.
