James E. Canter, Jr. July 7, 1957 - September 6, 2010 James E. Canter, Jr., 53, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at Community Hospital East, Indianapolis. He was born July 7, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana and was the son of James Canter, Sr. and Delores (Fields) Canter. James was a mechanic, an avid fisherman and loved playing the guitar. He is survived by his mother, Delores Canter of Greenfield; children, Tonya Kinney, Shelly Noley, Sandra Burnett, James Canter III, Angie Link, Randy Canter and Drius Canter; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Deborah Toothman, Cathy Jolliff, Shana Lake; brother, Randy Canter; several nieces and nephews; partner, Mary Carroll. He was preceded in death by his father, James Canter, Sr. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Reeves Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the James E.
