James A. Kiphart, Jr. April 9, 1943 - April 28, 2007 James A. Kiphart, Jr., 64, of Fortville formerly of Greenfield passed away Saturday April 28, 2007 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1943 in Fortville to James A. and Betty (Pyles) Kiphart. He was a 1961 graduate of Fortville High School and worked as an engineer at Mid America Extrusions of Indianapolis for 46 years. He was an avid computer enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, swimming, video taping and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by mother; wife, Barbara (Wilhite) Kiphart of Fortville, whom he married November 11, 1961; son, Ben (Kim) Kiphart of Fortville; daughters, Jennifer (Oscar) Sturgill of Greenfield, Jeanette (Jason) Volpp of San Diego, CA; sisters, Jolinda Shelton of CA, Jill Konija of Zionsville, Janet Belcher of Fortville, Judy Hudson of Ft. Collins, CO; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday May 3, 2007 at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home, Greenfield. Burial will be at Park Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
