James J. Oleksy

James Joseph Oleksy, age 46 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born in Indianapolis on January 29, 1971 to William & Shirley (Mills) Oleksy. James graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis. He would spend his career working at Allison Transmissions as a Machine Operator and enjoyed volunteering as a firefighter for the Wayne Township Fire Department for many years. James married the love of his life Robin on August 26, 1992. Surviving James is his wife Robin (Atnip) Oleksy; sons, Cole & Tyler Oleksy; daughter, Emily Oleksy; sisters, Patricia Oleksy-Gosser all of Greenfield; Stephanie (William Banta) Oleksy-Banta of Scottsburg, IN; Preceding James in death is his father listed above. Friends may visit from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 1:00pm with Pastor Lance Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Pendleton, IN. Memorial contributions in honor of James may be sent to the Emily Renee Oleksy, Tyler Jacob Oleksy and Joseph Cole Oleksy donation fund.
