James L. Ott

James "Jim" Leroy Ott, 80 of New Palestine, IN passed away on March 16, 2022, in Indianapolis. He was born on September 27, 1941, in Indianapolis, IN to the late James Frances and Julia Jean (Waddell) Ott. He married the love of his life Judy (Taylor) Ott on February 3, 1961, she survives. Jim retired from Indiana Power & Light after 37 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and reading. Jim is survived by his wife, Judy; his three daughters, Kellie (Larry) Bryant, Kimberly (David) DeVore and Karla Ott; 2 sisters, Robin Kekar and Gloria Hollenbaugh; his brother, Jason Ott; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ott. Graveside service for Jim will be held on Wednesday March 23, 2022, at 10 AM in New Palestine Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday March 22, 2022, from 6PM-8PM at Stillinger Family Funeral Home- Hendryx Chapel 19 E. Main St New Palestine, IN 46163.
