James "Roger" Ralph Tutrow

James "Roger" Ralph Tutrow, 70, Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Community Hospital East. He was born on September 14, 1953, in Greenfield, to Gerald Junior and Violet Lucille (Conger) Tutrow.

James was a welding mechanic at various shops and scrapyards including Johnson's, Graddy's, Field's, and Payne's. Once upon a time, he was a racing mechanic for Bob Sebastian. He also framed houses alongside his son, Shane. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, and camping.

He is survived by his children: James, Jr. (Rebecca) Tutrow, Shane (Jessica) Tutrow, and Ashley Cross; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Gerald Tutrow, Linda Bruner, Monica McPherson, Trudy Rowe, and Teresa Dickerson.

James was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chris Tutrow; and mother of his children, Dinah Tutrow.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service immediately following.
