James William Shrout, 80, passed away on March 26th, 2026.
He was born July 14, 1945 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to Dudley and Dorothy Shrout. After graduating high school, he served in the Navy from 1963 to 1969. He then went to work at GM retiring 2007. James was a private man, but quick to help is family in any way possible. He was a doating grandfather and made sure to always pick up a little something for his granddaughter Shelby.
James is survived by his daughter Lynette (Dave) Harris, granddaughter Shelby, his brother Larry (Nancy) Shrout, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, and his wife Ann.
Visitation will be on Tuesday March 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN, with the service immediately following at Noon with Pastor Roger Kinion officiating.
