Janet E. Kelly

Janet "Jan" Elizabeth (Wiseman) Kelly, 78, born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 9, 1945, to the late Marvin and Elsa Wiseman, passed away on November 28, 2023, surrounded by her family after a short battle with an illness.

Jan graduated from Howe High School in 1962. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Radiology technology and was employed by Community Hospital of Indianapolis, where she began her career as a radiology technician. As her career continued, she went on to teach at the Radiology school as an instructor and finished her career at the hospital managing the Radiology Department. After leaving the hospital she went on to open a small radiology department for Community Hospitals as a technician. After retiring she fulfilled a lifelong dream by spending many years as a volunteer for several different organizations to help people in need.

Jan is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Dennis Kelly; four children, Amy (Scott), Mike, Kim (David) and Angie (Phouvilay); five grandchildren, Chad (Kasey), Nathan, Sarah, Isaiah, and Jackson; two great grandchildren, Mason and Cash.

Jan was a certified scuba diver. She and Dennis took many trips that involved exploring the sea. They loved to travel and saw many exciting places here in the states and abroad.

Jan was an avid reader and belonged to a couple of different book clubs. She loved crossword puzzles and playing Mahjong. Jan was a long-time member of the Venture Christian Church.

Jan was the happiest when she was spending time with her family and friends.

Jan was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, and friend. Her grace, smile, and hugs will be greatly missed.
