Janice Linville

Janice Darlene Kocher Linville, 86, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born in Morristown, Indiana on January 29, 1940, and was the daughter of Dennis and Agnes Kocher.

At the age of five, Janice and her family moved to Greenfield, Indiana. She was a graduate of Greenfield Central High School and Indiana Business College. Janice worked at Bell Laboratories for 30 years before retiring. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, getting her hair done, and caring for her husband, Larry.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence (Larry) Linville, whom she married on June 22, 1962; her loving nieces and nephews, Vonda (Larry) Lucas, Steve Wilson, Keith Wilson, Sharon Polley, Margie (Bob) Sturgeon, Kevin Wilson, Susie (Doyt) Moore, Ronnie (Donna) Hewitt, Gary (Kathy) Hewitt, David (Trudy) Hogan, Karin (Al) Ochoa, Stuart (Sol) Ordonez, and Charlene (Hugo) Perez.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents listed above, sisters, Helen Morton, Ruth Ordonez, Mary Kocher, Dorothy Hewitt, Joan Hogan, Frances Wilson, Rita Zimmerman, brothers, Irvin Kocher and John Kocher.

From 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown, Indiana.
