Janice E. Payne August 16, 1924 - August 9, 2010 Janice E. Payne, 85, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Golden Living Center Brandywine. She was born August 16, 1924 in Rushville, Indiana to the late Clarence and Ida (Jennings) McMahan. Janice was a Teachers Aid for Greenfield Community Schools for 25 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church, Senior Singles Club of Greenfield, 50s + Club, PSI OTES Auxiliary and the Golden Living Center Brandywine Red Hats. She is survived by three daughters, Kandi Turner, Karol Smith and Karla Kindrick all of Greenfield; son, Bryan Payne of La Porte, In; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Meredith Payne, Sr.; sons, John Payne, Meredith Payne, Jr.; sisters, Louann Wilson, Marilyn Rickard; brothers, John, Niles, Robert and Earl McMahan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Glenn Kimball and Calvin Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Friends may call Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service.
