Jean Allen

Jean Allen February 16, 1922 - February 3, 2011 Jean Allen, 88, a resident of Greenfield, passed away, Thursday, February 3, 2011 at home surrounded by family. She was born February 16, 1922 in Fresno, California to the late Ernest Maloney and Esther Madaline (Burbank) Baker. Jean was secretary for 17 years at La Serna High School in Whittier, California. She attended the Family Worship Center Church of God in Greenfield, enjoyed oil painting, camping, making porcelain dolls, crocheting and shopping. She was very active at the Senior Center and was director of the exercise programs. She is survived by sons, Tom Allen of Greenfield; Ron (Jeannie) Allen of Washington; daughters, Cherie (Steven) Thau of Brownsville, IN; Terri (Jim) Heinson of Wisconsin; 26 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Kathy) Maloney of Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Allen, Jr in 1997; son, Donald Allen and daughter, Kathy Hall. A celebration of life will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Pastor Jim Hibbard officiating. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Family Worship Center Church of God, 1561 E. Main Street Greenfield, IN 46140.
