Jean Klinger Hall

Jean Klinger Hall, age 99 passed away January 30, 2022, at Community Hospital East. She was born September 12, 1922, in New Castle, Indiana to the late John H. and Anna Kathryn Hamilton Klinger. Jean was a graduate of Shortridge High School and later attended Butler University and Indianapolis City Hospital School of Nursing. Jean was a long-time member of New Palestine Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was a civic volunteer in the 1950's and 1960's primarily helping children achieve quality dental health. She was a former member of the Hancock County Fair Board, Hancock County Home Economics Club, the New Palestine Schools P.T.A. serving as treasurer. In years past, Jean enjoyed raising livestock, specifically sheep. She is survived by her children, Kathryn (Steven) Hall Cosby, and Sheldon (Martha) Hall, Jr., grandchildren, Rachel Hall, Tyler Herin, Sayer Herin, and Kristin (Philip) Schaffer, great grandchildren, Christopher, Evan, Kathryn, Ella and Nicholas Schaffer. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; husband Sheldon Hall, Sr. in 2008; siblings, John Hamilton Klinger, Joann Curl, Nancy Marinow, and Kathryn Michaelson. Friends may call 11:30 until 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Hendryx Chapel, 19 East Main Street, New Palestine, Indiana 46163.
