Jeanne C. Whipple August 13, 1924 - April 23, 2008 Jeanne C. Whipple, 83, a resident of Greenfield, formerly of Speedway, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at The Indiana Heart Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born August, 13, 1924 in Mississippi to the late Harry Lee and Tressie (Biddle) Overpeck. She was a homemaker, a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield, member of the Greenfield Community Choir, was a member of the Dulcimer Connection, FOP Ladies Auxiliary, and the Indiana Artist Guild. She was heavily involved with her children in Girls and Boys Scouts and 4-H. She was an avid gardener and naturalist. She is survived by son, Michael (Diane) Whipple of Kansas; daughter, Linda (Charles) McNicholas of Greenfield; son, Larry (Celeste) Whipple of Batesville, Arkansas; son, Randy (Kiyoko) Whipple of Okinawa, Japan; brother, Robert (Louise) Overpeck of West Lebanon, Indiana; 4 grandchildren, Amanda and Jessica McNicholas, Melany (Whipple) Barton, and Gail Whipple; great grandchild, Kaitlyn Jeanne Bowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth T. Whipple, 1991 and brother, Thomas "Dick" Overpeck. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 28, 2008 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with John Paulson officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 2-6pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Community Choir c/o Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W.
