Jeffrey Dean Pelton

Jeffrey Dean Pelton, 63, Greenfield, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. Jeff was born on November 2, 1957 in Gary, IN, to Robert Dean and Barbara Ann (Kravitz) Pelton. Jeff is a 1976 graduate of Lowell High School. Jeff was a tremendously loyal father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He was a motorcycle and car enthusiast. He was a member of the Raccoon Motorcycle Club. His children and their friends recall Jeff being the "Second Dad" or "Neighborhood Dad" as their house was a haven and open to many. Jeff is survived by his mother, Barbara Pelton; children: Jereme Pelton (Heather Meadows), Dusten Pelton, Cody Pelton (Candice Radford), Erik Pelton, and Samuel Montgomery; grandchildren: Abigail Saige Pelton, Madalynn Aileen Pelton, Nicolette Paige Pelton, Shane Austin Pelton, Robert Pelton, and Rylee Pelton; sisters: Lori (Jim) Harrell and Kim Pelton; niece, Kylee (Logan) Schiessle; former spouse, Karen (Novak) Milliner; and best friend, K.J. Bowling. Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael and Mildred Kravitz, and his father, Robert Dean Pelton. Visitation will be on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the funeral immediately following at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Brother Kenneth Jones. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pelton family for their purchase of Jeff's headstone/marker.
