Jessamine N. Turner - Scott, age 89, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on August 28, 2019, at Rawlins House in Pendleton, In. She was born on April 1, 1930, in Mohawk, IN to the late Jesse Maroska & Iva (Wilson) Maroska Gale.
Jessamine married her high school sweetheart, Alson "Bud" Turner, on August 16, 1947 and later married Claude Scott on December 20, 2003 after Bud's passing in 1999. Jessamine was a devoted member of Eden United Methodist Church. She spent her early years working with her husband, Bud as a dairy farmer until later in life she became a book keeper for Foster Engineering until her retirement. Jessamine was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a past Worthy Matron and Deputy. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Jessamine was an accomplished pianist, organist and singer. She enjoyed gardening and writing poetry, but most of all spending time with her precious family who she loved dearly.
Left to cherish Jessamines memory are her children; Charlie (JoAnn) Turner, Robert "Bob" (Melinda) Turner and Mary Iva (Jack) Jones; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Jessamine is proceeded in death by her parents and both husbands listed above; daughter, Claire Jeanne Purdunn; grandson, William Turner; brother, Charles "Andy" Maroska and sister, Judy Trennepohl.
Visitation for Jessamine will be from 4:00 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday September 4, 2019 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140 with an Eastern Star Service to be held at 3:45 . A Funeral Service will be at Eden United Methodist Church on Thursday September 5, 2019 at the 11:00AM with Pastor Dave Crittenden officiating. Burial will immediately follow the Funeral Service at Menden Cemetery in Pendleton, In.
