Joan Bussell

Donna "Joan" (Owens) Bussell, 88, passed away July 28, 2017 peacefully at her home. She was born on April 6, 1929 in Pendleton, Indiana to Ralph Holly Owens and Velma Inez (Hackleman) Owens. Joan married the love of her life, Ralph J. Bussell on May 9, 1947. This year they celebrated 70 years of a beautiful life spent together. Joan worked at Farm Bureau Co-op for 30 years. She was an active member of the Irvington Seventh Day Adventist Church where she held various offices in church leadership. Serving God was her joy and her faith was unwavering. Joan enjoyed studying the bible many times a day, cooking her famous noodles for family dinners, listening to hymns and traveling to Gatlinburg and Gulf Shores with Ralph. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her husband Ralph, daughter Terri (Ken) Redden, grandchildren Brian Redden and Heather (Chris) Pohland and two great grandsons Landon & Gavin Pohland. Preceding Joan in death are her parents mentioned above and sister, Rachel Schoger. Friends may visit from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service be at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Fred Troxell officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
