John Arland

John E. Arland, age 75, of Greenfield passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. John was born on June 16, 1940 in Peru, IN to the late William and Wave (Hammond) Arland. John graduated from Peru High School in 1958 and would later receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University in 1964. He married the love of his life, Suzanne (Dyer) Arland, on August 25, 1962. John was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Greenfield. He was also involved with the Greenfield Sertoma Club, Holy Family Camp, Greenfield Community Choir and the John Purdue Club. John was an avid golfer and Purdue Boilermaker fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who made him extremely proud. Surviving John is his wife Suzanne "Susie" Arland of Greenfield; sons David (Karen) Arland of Carmel; Andy (Denise) Arland of Greenfield; Tom Arland of Greenfield; and Drew (Krista) Arland of Carmel; sister Judy (Don) Jaberg of Bunker Hill; brother-in-law John Barron of Peru; grandsons Jacob, Zachary, Lucas, Matthew, Nicholas, J.D. and granddaughter Kathryn Arland. Preceding him in death are his parents listed above, brother William Arland, and sister Patricia Barron. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church of Greenfield, 519 Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140. Burial will be held at a later date at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
