John A. Evitt July 4, 1959 - April 24, 2013 John A. Evitt, 53 of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. He was born July 4, 1959 in Greenfield, Indiana to the late Bernard and Alice (Makosky) Evitt. John was a 1977 graduate of Greenfield Central High School. He married Debbie (Hess) Evitt on June 4, 1978. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed mentoring for other Boy Scouts. John was owner and auto mechanic for Evitts Auto Repair, Greenfield and a member of Greenfield Church of Christ. John is survived by his wife; Debbie, son; Brian (Cindy) Evitt of Willow Branch, daughter; April (Brian) Cole of Wilkinson, grandchildren; Estella and Vivica Evitt and Brady Lee Cole, brother Edward Evitt of Markleville, sister; Mary Joyce (Steve) Mosley of Cicero, step- mother Kay (Keith) Witham of Wilkinson and several brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Evitt. Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Johns family requests that if you would like to honor his memory, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Greenfield Church of Christ, 1380 South State Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140 or to the John A. Evitt Memorial Fund, C/o Stillinger Family Funeral Home.
