John D. Graul

John D. Graul, age 88 passed away, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Ashford Place Healthcare, Shelbyville. He was born August 4, 1930 in Indianapolis to the late John and Cecelia (Wilson) Graul. John was a 1948 graduate of Cathedral High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and enjoyed a long career as a machine operator with the Chrysler Corporation prior to his retirement in 1987. He was an avid Indy 500 fan, loved model airplanes and visiting Air Force museums in his spare time. John was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Greenfield. He is survived by nieces and nephew; Linda (Pat) Newett of New Palestine, Vincent (Karen) Keller of New Palestine, Patti Keller of Indianapolis, Maureen (Richard) Stewart of Indianapolis, several grand and great grand nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents and sister; Rosemary Keller. Friends may call 10 11 am, Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am at the church with Father Aaron Jenkins officiating. Burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2446 So. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN. 46225. Memorial contributions in honor of John may be sent to St. Michael Catholic Church, Greenfield.
