John L. Kirby

John L. Kirby, 68 of Wilkinson passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born May 14, 1948 in Durant, Oklahoma. John proudly served in the U.S. Army. He married Teresa (Lucas) Kirby on October 19, 1968. John worked for Navistar, Indianapolis and was a member of The Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Greenfield. He was a wonderful father and grandpa who loved his family deeply. In his spare time John enjoyed working in his yard. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Teresa (Lucas) Kirby, sons; John (Kimberly) Kirby of New Palestine, Jason (Amanda) Kirby of Pendleton, grandchildren; Jesse, Michael, David, Josie and Lindsey and great granddaughter; Harley. He is preceded in death by his father; Francis L. Kirby, son; Johnny L. Kirby, Jr., brother; Donald Kirby and In-laws; Arnold and Louise Lucas. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Riggs officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield with Military Rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
