John W. Lett July 15, 1935 - June 11, 2011 John W. Lett age75 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Saturday morning June 11, 2011 at Golden Living Center at Brandywine in Greenfield. He was born July 15, 1935 in Huntington, WV to the late Harvey & Garnett (Byrom) Lett. John was a 4-color offset printer for Mitchell-Fleming Printing of Greenfield for 30 years and formerly owned and operated his own printing business Colonial Press of Zionsville. He was an avid wood worker, fisher, loved playing "Santa Claus", operated his own flee market store "Johns Bikes" of Irvington and was known as the "Bicycle Man". He is survived by his wife of 56 years Donna (Heineman) Lett of Greenfield, sons, Steven (Teresa) Lett of Lebanon, IN, Richard (Cindy) Lett of Spring Grove, IL, daughter, Denise (Andy) Arland of Greenfield, brothers Gary Lett, OK, Jerry Lett, WV, Jack Lett, WV, 8 grandchildren, Scott, Jacob, Zachary, Lucas, Matthew, Nicholas, Anastacia, Gracie, great grandchildren, Sarai, Andrew, Dakota, Savanna, Allie, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Max Lett. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be sent to FUSE, Inc. I have been on vacation and only saw this today. I was his neighbor and friends with Denise in high school. He was always " so friendly. I remember him puttering around outside as I would be driving by on my way home. He always waved or stopped to talk if I was walking. Had a great sense of humor. I Have a lot of fond memories of our families being together, and he was always " ready to invite you into their home. Glad to have called John Lett, my friend.
