大家热爱的"小约翰",先于他的爸爸张崇柱(保罗)、妈妈张素川(苏)、在中

国的祖父母、他众多的表兄弟、"养"祖父母约翰和安范瓦林,归主怀抱。养祖父

母约翰和安的家是一个充满爱心的教会家庭,是许多朋友在美国的家。小约翰

将永远活在我们心中。

探视活动将于2024年8月23日星期五下午5:00点至7:00点举行。地点是

斯蒂林格家族殡仪馆(地址:11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN

46229)。追思会于将当日下午6:00 举行。生命庆典将于2024 年8 月25 日

(星期日)上午敬拜后, 中午12:00 在第一华人自由卫理公会教堂舉行。(地址:

John Earnest Zhang, 19 months old, of Indianapolis, IN slipped from the arms of his earthly father into the loving embrace of Jesus, August 21, 2024, at Riley Hospital, Indianapolis.

Welcomed into this world January 17, 2023, by his loving parents Pastor Paul and Sue, and church family, this special child quickly attached himself to everyone whom he met. The dedication of his parents and church members, to this bundle of love confirmed that eternal life is real, and this life is a gift of God. At the time of death, those gathered joined in as father and mother sang Christian hymns to the dying son including "Be not dismayed what 'ere be tide, God will take care of you…."

Though the life of this young child was short in time, it was deep in love, peace, patience, joy, perseverance and grace. God used this precious one to teach lessons about love that would otherwise never have been learned. While some people leave a legacy of wealth, power or fame, this one precious gift now leaves an indelible legacy: teaching us all about the eternal value of God's unconditional love.

"Baby John" as he was affectionally called, leaves behind his father Chongzhu (Paul) Zhang, mother Suchuan (Sue) Zhang, grandparents in China, numerous cousins, "adoptive" grandparents John and Ann Van Valin, a loving church family, and a host of friends in America on whose life his impression will last indefinitely.

Visitation will be held at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2024, with a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Chinese Free Methodist Church, 9035 E. 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN, Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 12:00 noon following morning worship. It will include a communal meal.
