Joseph Ned Hudson, 77, Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Joe was born on December 10, 1946, in Anderson, Indiana, to Ned Max and Constance (Kelly) Hudson. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1964. He continued his studies at Marian University and then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1968. Joe married Carol Dianne Feiring on May 6, 1972.
Joe served in the U.S. Army for 2 years, serving in Vietnam. In Joe's younger years, he worked alongside his dad at Hudson's Jewely Store in Fortville. He worked as a salesman for Bulova Watch Company, in logistics for Ecoff Trucking Company, as well as an accounting technician for DFAS. Joe retired in June 2017. He loved the outdoors, reading, working sudoku puzzles, and the nostalgia of classic cars. He enjoyed watching baseball because it reminded him of his youth. He and Carol also had a winter home in California so they could be close to their children and grandchildren. Joe was a member of St. James Lutheran Church for many years.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Carol of 52 years; their children, Erin (Keir) Curtis and Michael (Jamie) Hudson; grandchildren, Abigail Curtis, Colin Curtis, and Brooks Hudson; brother, Kelly Hudson; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Bob Ferrell; and beloved dog, Olaf.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jeffrey Hudson.
