Joshua Shane McKnelly August 27, 1977 - June 7, 2011 Joshua Shane McKnelly age 33 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away June 7, 2011 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was born August 27, 1977 in Olney, Ill. to Ronald McKnelly and Arlene (Dugger) Scroggham of Greenfield. Josh was an accomplished mechanical engineer, graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelors degree and attended Real Life Church, Greenfield. He was a loving father, best brother anyone could ask for, favorite cousin of several, beloved son and nephew, and many peoples best of friends, as well as beloved uncle. He was born in Olney, IL and graduated high school in New Palestine; IN. Josh lived a short but full life. He had a passion for many things. He was so full of life. Josh was a certified instructor in scuba diving. He also loved NASCAR, hunting, fishing, camping and riding his Harley. Everything we know that he ever wanted to see or do, he did! He had a genuine loyalty and love for his family. We will miss him always. It is already obvious that part of us is missing. We love you Josh. Watch over us until we see you again. Love always and miss you forever, your family. He is survived by his mother and stepfather Arlene and David Scroggham, wife Rebecca (Kennedy) McKnelly, daughters, Meleiah Kennedy, Leanna McKnelly all of New Palestine, brother, Colby McKnelly of Greenfield and his sisters, Emily McKnelly and Haley Scroggham of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Kari McKnelly. A celebration of life will be held at Adaggios Banquet Hall, 5999 Memory Lane, Greenfield, IN 46140 on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The family requests casual attire to be worn.
