Joy E. Wienke

Joy E. Wienke, age 88 formerly from Greenfield passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Joy was born January 18, 1927 in Gary, Indiana to the late Claude E. and Katherine A. (Goldsmith) Shutt. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana. Joy married Walter R. Weinke on November 03, 1979. Joy attended Indiana University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught at Lake Central High School and later worked at Cigna Insurance as an insurance underwriter. She enjoyed dancing, travel and study Scripture. She was a member of Trinity Park UMC in Greenfield. She is survived by her daughters; Jeanne (David) Heggem, Carol (Stuart) Price and Janet Ahlbin, Son; Bryan Shaddick, Step-son; Mark Wienke, Step-daughter; Patricia Wienke, 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, Sister; Mary Ellen Rust (David). She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Friends may call from 12pm-1pm Monday, March 16, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral Service will follow 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Joys honor to charity of choice.
