Joyce Mae Arthur

Joyce Mae (Miller) Arthur 89, of New Palestine, IN passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022. She was born to the late Ralph and Ruth (Cartmell) Miller on April 16, 1932, in New Palestine, IN. Joyce was a 1950 graduate of New Palestine High School. She married her husband Richard on June 10, 1951. Together they made their home and raised their family in the New Palestine area. She was a loving, devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Always active in their church, Joyce and Richard volunteered together for many Christian ministries throughout the years. Joyce also cooked for many church camps. She was a member of the New Palestine Bible Church. Although Joyce enjoyed her years as a homemaker, she did work outside the home as a receptionist in a medical office. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and antiquing. Above all else she loved her Lord and Savior, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving children, Sharon Koontz, Terry Kinder and Roger (Tamera) Arthur; 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her loving son, Randy Lee Arthur; her 2 sisters, Betty Wood, and Shirley Wheeler. Services for Joyce will be Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 10AM at Stillinger Family Funeral Home-Hendryx Chapel New Palestine 19 E. Main St New Palestine, IN 46163, with burial to follow in New Palestine Cemetery. Friends may visit on Friday March 11, 2022, from 4PM-7PM at the funeral home.
