Joylene Elizabeth Joy Van Alst

Joylene Elizabeth Van Alst, age 58 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was born on April 15, 1959 in Greenfield, IN to the late David and Joyce (Moss) Nicholson. Joy spent her life working as a Warehouse Shipping Dept. Manager. Real Estate was a great part of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, gardening and music. She loved her dog "Bentley", often referring to him as one of her children. Joy was a past member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Surviving Joy are; son, Tommy Van Alst; daughters, Carly Fox; Jillian Van Alst both of Greenfield; brother, Jason (Misty) Nicholson of Greenfield; sister, Julie (Gus) Nicholson of Greenfield; and 11 grandchildren; Caylee, Isaiah, Junia, Sarah, Gage, Tyler, Vance, Tayton, Jalen, Ezekiel, and Elijah. Preceding Joy in death are her parents David and Joyce Nicholson; sisters, Jane Ramsey and Debbie Rose. Visitation for Joy will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm immediately following the visitation. Burial will follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 South State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.
