June P. Atherton February 10, 1920 - March 30, 2014 June P. Atherton, 94 of Greenfield passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab, Greenfield. She was born February 10, 1920 in Cumberland, IN. to the late Harry and Myrtle (Eaton) Plummer. After graduating from Mt. Comfort High School June married Thomas Atherton. June had her own in-home sewing service for many years and was a wonderful seamstress. June was a member of the O.N.T Club and Cumberland United Methodist Church. June is survived by, sister; Dorothy (Tommy) Link of St. Petersburg, FL., sister-in-law; Ruth Plummer of New Palestine, devoted son-in-law, Jerry Hale of Greenfield, grandsons; Michael Hale, David Hale and Thomas Hale all of Greenfield, and great grandchildren; Patrick Hale, Anna Hale, Courtney Hale, Avery Hale, Cameron Hale and Trevor Hale. Preceding her death are her parents and husband, Thomas, son; Theron Atherton, daughter; Lilah Hale, brothers; Donald, Harold, Hubert and Ivan Plummer and sister Viola Merchant. Friends may call Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main, Greenfield. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Friday April 4, 2014 at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
