Kathryn A. Shewey May 25, 1915 - August 29, 2007 Kathryn A. Shewey, 92, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Regency Place in Greenfield. Kathryn was born in Greenfield on May 25, 1915 to the late John L. Pasco (the founder of Pasco Funeral Home in 1912) and Flossie (Robb) Pasco Atherton. She was the secretary to the Adjutant General at the Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center and retired from tax preparation for the IRS. Kathryn was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church as well as the Greenfield Tri Kappa. She loved gardening and wrote short stories for children, some of which were published. She also wrote music, some of which was copyrighted. She is survived by her sons, John (Maria Dalia Pena) Jackson of Greenfield, Bill (Mary Cora) Jackson of Simi Valley, CA, and Kenneth Shewey of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Linda Sue Jackson of McAllen, TX, Theresa "Teri" (Donnie) Sharp of Avon, IN, Jessica (Steven) Weeks of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jennifer Jackson of Simi Valley, CA, Marc David (Anne) Jackson of Clarksville, MD, and Scott (Mary) Jackson of Oregon; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Kathryn is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Shewey; daughter, Cheryl Greene (1993); and sister, Marilyn Lowder (1999). A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 2:00p.m. at the Greenfield Christian Church, 23 North East Street, where memorial contributions may be made.
