Kay Rainey May 9, 1940 - August 15, 2011 Kay Rainey age 71 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Monday morning, August 15, 2011 at Indiana University Hospital Simon Center, located in Indianapolis. She was born May 9, 1940 in Bartholomew County, Indiana to the late Norwood and Helen Maxine (Simmons) Perry. Kay was a homemaker and she worked as a Nursing Assistant at Hancock Regional Hospital for 23 years before retiring. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and working with flowers. She also loved cats. Kay was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, located in Greenfield. Kay is survived by her husband Donald C. Rainey, son Mike (April) Rainey of Kokomo, Indiana, daughters Patricia (Brook) Manche of Allen, Texas, Deloris Hamil of Plainfield, Indiana; Pamela Spencer, Greenfield, Indiana, Donita Rainey of Noblesville, Indiana; one brother, Norwood F. (Betty) Perry of Jacksonville, Arkansas, grandchildren Adam Manche, Brandon Conroy and Cole Spayde, one great grand daughter, Alexis Manche. She was preceded in death by her brother James Perry, and her sister Patricia Jean Perry. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18 at Bethel Baptist Church, Greenfield, Indiana. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday August 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home and Thursday, August 18 for one hour before the service begins.
