Kenneth L. Borgmann, age 90 of New Palestine passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Springhurst Health Campus. He was born June 9, 1929 in New Palestine to the late Louis and Florena (Brune) Borgmann.
Kenny was a 1947 graduate of New Palestine High School and continued his education at Purdue University. He married Patricia (Parrish) in 1949. He served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer from 1953-1955 at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Kenny and Pat moved to Coventry, CT. in 1959 and remained there until 1970 when they returned to New Palestine to raise their family. He was a realtor and developer his entire professional life. He enjoyed over 30 years as the Real Estate Developer for Gas America, Inc.
Continually active in the community, Kenny served many years on the Board of Directors for New Palestine Bank and the building committee for Doe Creek Middle School. He was a horse and buggy enthusiast, loved to play cards and golf. He spent many hours watching the stock market and was always a farmer at heart.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Patricia; children, Amy Borgmann and Alan Borgmann; grandchildren, Christopher, Brian and Jacob Borgmann; great grandchildren, Khloe and Keegan; siblings, Floyd (Margie) Borgmann, Marie (Jack) Ayers, Mildred (Larry) Harter and Marilyn (Doug) Polly. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, David Borgmann.
Calling will be 4-8 pm, Monday, December 9 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140 with a Masonic Service at 3:45 pm. Funeral service 10 am, Tuesday, December 10 at the funeral home. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Greenfield Veteran's Honor Guard immediately following at New Palestine Cemetery.
