Kim Maria Merrick, age 58 of New Palestine passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. She was born July 4, 1956 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Howard and Doris Jean (Beavin) Lottes.
Kim attended Indiana University and was a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. She married Dana Merrick on August 21, 1976 at St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Indiana. Kim was a medical laboratory inspector for the College of American Pathologists.
Kim was devoted to her family, friends and church. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Guild. She selflessly dedicated her time to various charities and people throughout her life. She spent her life being the biggest cheerleader for her children and husband.
She is survived by her husband Dana Merrick of New Palestine, sons; Shayne Merrick of Nashville, TN, Andrew Merrick of Carolina Beach, NC, Travis (Adrienne) Merrick of Beavercreek, OH, daughter; Alyssa Merrick of Beavercreek, OH, sister; Anjela (Mark) Igo of Dallas, TX, brothers; Larkin (Shelly) Lottes, Brete (Alisha) Lottes both of Evansville, Erik (Susan) Lottes of Atlanta, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister; Margaret Mary Lottes.
Friends may visit 4-8 pm, Friday, June 26, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral mass will be 11 am, Saturday, June 27, 2015 with visitation 1 hour prior to service at St. Michael Catholic Church, 513 North Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield with Father Steve Banet officiating.
Private burial for family will be 2 pm, Sunday, June 28, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery, 12300 South 50 West, Haubstadt, Indiana 47639.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana University School of Medicine to support Anatomical donations to the IU Foundation, P.O. Box 7072, Indianapolis, IN 46207-7072.
