Laura Eggeman

Laura Eggeman July 18, 1915 - December 22, 2009 Laura E. Eggeman, 94, a resident of Greenfield, formerly of Brownstown, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born July 18, 1915 in Jackson County, Indiana to the late Fred and Ann (Tormoehlen) Stahl. Laura was a farmer and a homemaker, member of Faith Lutheran Church, Greenfield and member of the Lutheran Laymans League. Laura loved gardening and rug weaving. She is survived by daughters, Norma (Harry) Crouch of Columbus, IN, Thelma (Chuck) Ford of Greenfield; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin H. Eggeman in 2008 to whom she was married 71 years; brothers, Omer Stahl, Nathan Stahl, and an infant stillborn; sisters, Alma Melloncamp and Lola Wischmeier. Friends may call Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. A service of devotion will follow on Saturday at 7:00 pm with Rev. Wm. Daniel OConnor officiating. Funeral service will be Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul Evangelical Church, 1165 E. County Road 400 S. Brownstown, IN 47220 with calling one hour prior. Burial will follow at Wegan Cemetery, Brownstown, IN. Zabel Funeral Home will be handling the services in Brownstown (Wegan), IN. Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of the donors choice.
