Lenna M. Cook October 20, 1922 - January 20, 2007 Lenna M. Cook, 84, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Regency Healthcare in Greenfield. She was born October 20, 1922, in Greenfield and is the daughter of the late Doc C. and Lula M. (Woods) Jackson. Mrs. Cook graduated from Maxwell High School, Class of 1940 and was fulltime homemaker and also cared for many of her grandchildren. During the Vietnam War Mrs. Cook was active in the American War Mothers Organization, serving as President. This group of mothers offered aide and comfort to military service members through prayers, care packages, and hospital visits. Survivors include her husband, Joe Cook Jr. of 66 years whom she married on January 2, 1941, 2 sons Terry Cook, Charlottesville, Don Cook, Greenfield, 3 daughters, Barbara Corley, Patty Welter of Greenfield, Sandra Evans of Indianapolis, sister, Mary Rose Pope of Greenfield, brothers James Jackson of Greenfield, Richard Jackson of North Carolina, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Sue Cook in 1951, son William Cook in 2004, 2 grandsons, Kenneth Corley, Gary Farquer, great-grandson David A. Turnbill, brothers, Robert G. Jackson and Charles Jackson. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Hancock County, 715 E. Lincoln Street, Greenfield, Indiana, 46140.
