Lennox Louise Russell

Lennox “Lulu” Louise Russell, age 2, of McCordsville, Indiana, passed away on September 23, 2026, at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, surrounded by her family. She was born February 7, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Joseph and Belinda Russell.

Lulu packed an incredible amount of life into two and a half years. Her radiant smile, sparkling blue eyes, and wild copper curls made her impossible to miss, and she brought joy with her everywhere she went. She was a true ray of sunshine: wild, energetic, creative, bossy, opinionated, and loud in the very best way. She was completely herself.

Lulu loved all things colorful and especially loved to color, including on the walls at home when paper got boring. She loved The Lion King, Bun-bun, her beloved bunny that she took everywhere with her, Chicken Salad Chick, and most of all, her family. She loved traveling with her family, especially trips to Nashville, and she loved going to church with them. In 2024, Lulu was crowned Miss Indiana Baby Princess, a title fitting for a little girl with such a big personality and a presence far larger than her years.

On September 7, 2026, Lulu was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Her battle with cancer was heartbreakingly short, but cancer never got the chance to define who she was. Through it all, she remained Lulu, full of personality, color, love, and light.

Lulu is survived by her parents, Joseph and Belinda Russell; her brother, Connor Russell; her sister, Sunnie Russell; her grandparents, Jenny Stephenson and Joe Russell; her uncle and aunt, Brandon Russell and Andrea Heiden; her uncle and aunt, Sam and Callie; her aunt and uncle, Jenni and Tommy; her aunt, Charity Trent; and her cousins, Pippa, Kylan, Cora, Liam, Chase, Jaxson, and Stella.

She was also deeply loved by close family friends Bill and Stephanie Paulin and their sons, Noah and Matthew, who held a special place in Lulu’s life, as well as additional grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, church family, and friends who will remember her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E New Rd, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Nick Reidman officiating.

A private family burial will take place the following morning, Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, Indiana.
