Leona G Brown

Leona G. Brown November 24, 1909 - August 6, 2010 Leona G. Brown, 100, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Golden Living Center Brandywine in Greenfield. She was born November 24, 1909 in Nebraska, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Cassius and Katherine (Smith) Edwards. She was a graduate of Butlerville Indiana High School. She was a life member of the Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church. She loved to garden her flowers and make afghans. She is survived by a son, Jon Brown of Greenfield; two daughters, Mary Murnan of Greenfield and Dorothy Hollenbaugh of Greenfield; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis N. Brown in 1983 and five sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday.
