Leonard E. Harding October 9, 1914 - December 11, 2007
Leonard E. "Grandpa" Harding, 93, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born October 9, 1914 in Greenfield to the late Walter J. and Lena (Reese) Harding.
He retired in 1979 from Howdy Chevrolet of Greenfield as a mechanic, was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, a member the "Owls" of the church and was Trinity Parks birthday ambassador. He was an avid painter and loved spending his time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Dorotha M. (McClarnon) Harding of Greenfield; daughter, Pamela Burchfield (Robert) of Greenfield; son, Steve (Cathy) Harding of New Palestine; sister, Bette M. Moore of Shelbyville; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and was anticipating his sixth great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl M. and Chester L. Harding.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Greenfield with Rev. Michael Manning officiating. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Avenue, Greenfield, IN 46140.
