Leroy "Lee" Walker

Leroy A. "Lee" Walker, age 73, of Knightstown passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at Hancock Health, Greenfield. He was born October 23, 1946 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Harold B. and Delores (Peters) Walker Campbell. Lee was in the 1965 graduating class of Knightstown High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO. He played basketball at FLC and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995. He received his Master of Arts from Ball State University. Lee was a U.S. History/Government teacher and coach at The Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's Home. He is survived by his wife, Dianne (DeVoe) Walker; son, Brett (Elaine) Walker; grandson, Drew Walker; brother, Jack (Linda) Walker; nephew, Dan (Theresa) Walker; niece, Amy (Chad) Spurrier, and several great nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents. The family will hold a private graveside service. Memorial contributions can be made to one of Lee's favorite places: The Hoosier Gym, 355 N.
