Lewis R. Owens October 16, 1930 - July 20, 2010 Lewis R. Owens 79, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Golden Living Center Brandywine. He was born October 16, 1930 in Paoli, Indiana to the late Arthur and Ethel (Newlin) Owens. He retired from General Motors of Indianapolis, was a member of the American Legion Post 64 and the UAW #933 of Indianapolis. He is survived by his wife, Francis (Day) Owens of Indianapolis; daughters, Joan, Wanda and Louise Richelle Owens, all of Greenfield; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; step- children, Linda, Bobby, Tim and Randy; several step grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Owens and daughter, Nancy Owens, and step-daughters Karen and Kathy. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Highest Praise with Pastor Ira Scott officiating. Calling will be held one hour prior.
