Linda Elaine Asher

Linda Elaine (Bardonner) Asher, 70, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family members. She was born on January 10, 1953, in Indianapolis, to Eugene R. and Jean M. (Maschmeyer) Bardonner. She attended New Palestine High School where she was Homecoming Queen. She also attended Franklin College.

Linda was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. She had a strong Christian faith and most certainly went running into the arms of Jesus. She had a beautiful smile and a strong, quiet nature. She enjoyed gardening and growing the most beautiful flowers including a family favorite, the peony. Linda enjoyed celebrating family members' birthdays and decorating the whole house for Christmas! She loved babies so much and had a huge heart in caring for elderly family & friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, who called her Mimi, and attending their events. She had many, many cat and dog friends through the years. Linda had a passion for photographing her family and beautiful landscapes. Those who knew Linda at all knew a camera was most certainly in her hand or nearby all the time!

Some of her favorite travels included Coldwater Lake, Michigan and the gulf side of Florida. Linda loved everything about Florida-the warm sunshine, driving a convertible with the top down, amazing sunsets, looking for dolphins, swimming, shopping, getting the brownest tan she could, beach walks and searching for seashells. She also had some favorite personal indulgences including Taylor's Bakery birthday cakes, Ivanhoe's hot fudge sundaes, Hershey chocolate bars, Blondie's cookies, Mountain Dew and cheese!

She is survived by her loving mother, Jean Bardonner; children: Kari (Jason) Addleman, Jennifer (Randy) Riley, and Jimmy (Heather) Asher; brother, Ken Bardonner; 6 grandchildren: Wesley (Tori) Addleman, Ciara Addleman, Tristan Addleman, Grace Asher, Aiden Addleman, and Maddie Riley; nephew, Kenny Bardonner; and several cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Bardonner and son, Michael Asher.
