Linda Maxine (Edmondson) Stearns

Linda Maxine (Edmondson) Stearns, 59, Cumberland, but a lifelong resident of Knightstown, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 1, 1962, in Frankfort, IN, to Clarence Lee and Sue (Meek) Edmondson. She graduated with an associate degree in business. She married the love of her life, Roy Jay Stearns, on June 15, 1987. Linda worked alongside her husband at Jay's Corner Bakery in Knightstown for 26 years. Following the Bakery, she worked as Knightstown Clerk Treasurer for 8 years, retiring in 2014. Linda loved to scrapbook and create beautiful cards. She loved taking care of others and enjoyed listening to Kenny Rogers music. The greatest delight and joy in her life was her son, Tayler. Linda was a member of Knightstown United Methodist Church. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jay, of 37 years; their son, Tayler Jay (Melissa) Stearns; parents, Sue and Bill House; sister, Robbin (Tom) Berger; step-sister, Suzi House; step-brothers, John House and Dave House; mother-in-law, Virginia Stearns; faithful companion, Bailey; and grand-dog, Orson. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Edmondson and son, Joseph Ezra Stearns. Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Greenfield, has been honored to serve Linda and her family during this heartbreaking loss of a beautiful life. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Care, 34 West Main Street, Knightstown, IN.
