Linda Marie Stoner, 77 years, a resident of Greenfield passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born April 29,1948 in Indianapolis, Ind. to Maurice And Doris A. (Young) Bornman.
Linda graduated from Greenwood High School and worked various clerical jobs, worked as the Principal's secretary at Greenfield Junior High, and retired from the Hamilton County Auditor's office in 2013. She attended Brandywine Community Church, was a square dancer and was an officer for the State Square Dancing Association. She enjoyed spending time with family, camping, sewing, crafts and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Stoner whom she married Feb. 14, 1979, mother, Doris Bornman, sons, Alan (Julie) Dodds, Andrew Dodds, Step-children, Cheryl Wenger, Scott Stoner, Angela Vogt, 3 foster children, Brothers, Maurice Bornman, Mark Bornman, grandchildren, Evelyn Littlejohn, Melody Dodds, A.J. Dodds, Brendan Dodds, Ashley Nay, Andrew Dodds Jr., several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father listed above and son, Brian Dodds.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 28, 2025, from 3pm - 6pm at the Hancock County FOP, 400 E. Davis Rd., Greenfield, IN 46140. StillingerFamily Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, is honored to care for Linda and her family.
