Lloyd E. Dobbins

Lloyd Eugene Dobbins, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Lloyd was born on April 13, 1932, in Maxwell, Indiana, to Lennie Dobbins and Iona (Price) Dobbins. He was one of eight children.

Lloyd graduated from Maxwell High School and enlisted in the United States Army shortly after. He later married his high school sweetheart, Kathryn Johnson, and they were married on June 5, 1953, and enjoyed seventy wonderful years! To that union, three children were born, Kenton, Debra, and Brett.

Lloyd worked as a machinist at Delco Remy, from which he retired after forty-two years. Lloyd and Kathryn were members of Curry's Chapel in Greenfield, IN. He was an avid NASCAR fan and liked working on cars in his spare time. He also enjoyed farming, loved gardening, and studying genealogy.

Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife, Kathryn, who will forever cherish his memory. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Debra, and her husband Mauri Young. Lloyd was also blessed with five grandchildren: Joel Dobbins and his wife Deanna, Mary Lashley, Clifton Young, Emily Young, and Brandon Dobbins. Additionally, he is survived by three great-grandchildren, ensuring his legacy lives on through the generations.

He was preceded by his parents, his sons, Kenton Dobbins and Brett Dobbins, his sisters, Louise, Leona, and Verna, and his brothers, Caryl, Dallas, Clyde, and Johnny.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St. Greenfield, Indiana 46140.

The viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. prior to the ceremony on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St. Greenfield, Indiana 46140.
